Pink Kong Studios are shortlisted for the VR Awards 2018!

Dublin based animation studio, Pink Kong Studio’s VR film AURORA was shortlisted for the VR Awards 2018 which took place in London.

Created by Aoífe Doyle, Niamh Herrity & Denis James Ryan and produced at Pink Kong Studios, Aurora is Ireland’s first original animated VR short film, and continues to earn mass acclaim since its premiere at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival in February 2018.

AURORA is a story of peaceful reflection, immersed in powerful visuals and sounds of nature.  The time-lapse style narrative of this virtual reality piece, alongside mesmerizing imagery, offers a captivating experience for the viewer and invites us to reflect on the nature of time itself.

Combined with year-round international initiatives, the VR Awards brings together a night of red-carpet highlights, the celebration of excellence and unique access to the world’s most influential names in immersive technology. On the night of the Awards there was 300+ delegates from the most influential backgrounds of VR attending. Pink Kong Studios didn’t take home gold that night but were delighted to be part of the celebration and enjoyed the success of immersive Virtual Reality with directors and producers from around the world.
